It was the first time that this prestigious event took place in Latin America.
The Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA International) is a global organization that connects female executives and decision-makers around the world.
Dr. Maria Belen Espiñeira, our Managing Partner and founding President of WISTA Argentina, and Maria Soledad Radicchi, Senior Lawyer in our firm, were part of WISTA Argentina´s delegation that attended the AGM and the Conference, along with more than 250 members from over 30 countries around the world.
We are also proud to share that Dr. Maria Belen Espiñeira had the honor of moderating the session “Trading in Latin America: Moving Ahead”, integrated by distinguished speakers such as Ambassador Monica Martinez Menduiño from Asociación Latinoamericana de Integración (ALADI); Rubén Martínez Baeza, COO of the Port Division of Navios South American Logistics; Arami Arias, Trader at Viterra Argentina (Argentinean Chamber of Cereal Exporters); Luis Zubizarreta, President of Chamber of Private Ports of Argentina, and Ricardo Sánchez, Co-director of Kühne Professorial Chair of Logistics, School of Management, Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.
Other interesting topics, such as “Diversity Nowadays – The challenges of Equity”, “Ports and Shipping: Improving the Customer Experience”, and “The New Shipping: Navigating towards a Greener Future,” were discussed by distinguished experts of the sector, who shared their invaluable knowledge and insights in an enriching and motivating exchange with all the attendees that develop their professional activities in the shipping, trade, and maritime industry.
